My god! It's not personal FFS! I'm just sick to the back teeth of us signing poor players. I have nothing against the bloke but I rate him as a player that has lost his pace. I was angry when we were rumoured to be signing Dykes and I'm angry with this signing. Believe you me, I'll be overjoyed if he proves me wrong but no-one in the last few seasons has done. No doubt if he fails you will blame poor service rather than poor player recruitment though. |

Because Noble doesn't rate him or play to his strengths, Noble coaches 5 drives and a kick to a high standard and if you're not 15 stone you're not good for his gameplan.

Come on. I am not certain aout Calderwood at all. If it means him instead of developing Tom Briscoe then its an error IMo (and I do realise Tom is not a winger) Like Raggytash, I hope I am wrong but am not sure of this one at all personally.
And lets face it, we don't have to sit here and blindly love every player who signs. we should support them mind and we all will do. That said, we are entitled to our opinions |

That's the point though, we don't want to be developing Briscoe as a winger. Yes he has been very good whilst filling in this year but if we are to allow him to develop in his natural position we must not get drawn into forcing him into covering all the time. We only have one natural winger at the club next season (until Calderwood signs) and that will only hinder Briscoe (and Hall). |

I know what you are saying. not sure if Hall and Briscoe will play regualrly though. What about Whiting and Graham Horne?
I reckon we may have to end up being ruthless at some point. I think we on paper have a very good side, just wish it would transpose onto the pitch. Time will tell I guess. |
