Calderwood will be on much lower wages than Sing/Blacklock, hes British and i think hel offer a lot more to us. Hes got speed (Something we dont) and he has an eye for a gap (Again somethign we dont) so i can see the positives from this signing. For me hel be better than both Sing and Blacklock at a fraction of the price!

| I for one am pleased.
We made a big fuss and celebrated when both Blacklock and Sing were signed, and at times they showed some great pace. Yet bot of these players were former top NRL players -with Sing having really top pedegree.
I think we should celebrate the sigining of Calderwood in the same vien. Afterall, if we signed an Aussie winger who had been top try scorer in any season in the NRL, we would be shouting from the rooftops, even if his recent form hadn't been quite up to much.
With Calderwood, we forget that it was only 3 seasons ago that he topped the scoring charts, and although he didn't find that form at Wigan, he has performed pretty well this season. Yet because we see British players week in week out, we tend to look at recent form only, compared to when we look at Aussie signings when we assess their performance over a career. Lets give the Brits we sign the same applause we give the aussies  |

We will storm to the top of the Super League next year, winning the Challenge cup, the minor premiership and the grand final and Calderwood will undoubtedly finish top of the tryscoring charts. Dykes will start every single game and declare he's so fit he's renewing his contract for another two years. Todd Byrne will win man of steel and beer prices will drop to £2 a pint. This on top of the season pass price freeze will make it the best season in our history. |
