Re Chamberlain, I don’t get the negativity towards him. Yes we need quality players to move us back in to a team that will challenge at the top but and it’s a big BUT we had to stabilise things first. Chamberlain is here and will do the job that is required of him. This off season we will have been one of the last clubs players wanted to move to due the issues which as has turned out since the takeover things were far worse than most of us thought. We desperately needed to turn over a large proportion of the squad to try and kick start a totally different attitude, to do that you still need players to replace the ones that left. The player pool is was already quite small and with the late stage we joined the party in terms of recruitment most players of real quality had already sorted their deals. I’ve no doubt things will keep changing and should a player come up that meets what Cartwright wants in a player we’ll be in for them moving forward. It’s just going to take a little bit of time but we can already see that the club under the new ownership means business and wants to deliver success.

| Got to find a way to not have Fash in the backrow and Gardiner on the bench, neither are good enough (Fash in the backrow)

Dave K.: Got to find a way to not have Fash in the backrow and Gardiner on the bench, neither are good enough (Fash in the backrow) Agreed on both counts, but not really got many other options at the minute can’t see him going with Kirby, I’d prefer that, Fash on the bench instead of Gardiner.

I can't see a win here. I reckon they will beat us by a couple of scores. The lack of decent defence and any threat in the centres and 2nd row will see us lose IMO.

Think this would be my 17 given the 21 man squad released.- Moy
- Barron
- Rapana
- Briscoe
- Martin
- Cust
- Sezer
- Ese ese
- Bourouh
- Aydin
- Lane
- Chamberlain
- Asiata
Bench: - Ashworth
- Salabio
- Fash
- Balmforth
Hoping there's enough there to do the job against a Huddersfield team that haven't been great themselves.
