| Signed for Cats. Good NRL centre. Have we missed out? Do people think he's someone we should have been after?

| No. Im happy with what we have got.
I have doubted IL and waney enough over the last 2 seasons only to be proved wrong. I have 100 per cent trust in our recruitment now.

| Good player but we already have 2 double winning and competition for spots with the likes of Gelling. Signing quality players is always a bonus but we don't really need him so would rather see the cash saved for if a gap in the squad did appear.

| if there ever was a 2nd row playing its him, very strong, big and reasonably quick but he doesn't create space for his winger and usually looks to be the man with strength.

| Yes awesome centre. Will rip it up in Super League. The only reason I can think of if we did not go in for him is because he had visa issues due to a criminal conviction for assault.
If he comes to play, which I would question at Les Cats, he will be the best centre in the league, very very good player.
I am holding out for us to announce Blake Ferguson, wishful thinking though.

| I remember you speaking highly of Pomeroy before jonh. Ferguson is meant to be going to the roosters, god knows where they'll fit him in.
So much ability, just needs to sort his head out. Doubt he'll come to Wigan, he wants a Sydney club.

| At centre - Thornley struggled mid season but came back well for me at the back end. Still has to work on combination with winger but judge him this time next year I reckon.

| Good signing for Catalans. They were in dire need of some quality centres. It's still disapointing that no they haven't come close to producing an SL quality French centre since they came into the league.

The British clubs have struggled to produce a quality British centre in the same time frame!

Now, most of those players are not world beaters, some may go on to be world class but they're still very good SL centres that SL clubs have produced in the last 6 years. Catalans don't have any competition from any other profesional clubs in France for the best French players, and yet they haven't come close to producing a centre of any quality.

| I think Jean Philippe Baille is on a par with the likes of Evans and Thornley, Atkins is a couple of years older than him but his form goes from one extreme to the other with alarming regularity. Percival and Crooks are unfilled potential at the moment.
But lets be fair to Les Catalans, they only entered SL in 2006 and got going from a standing start, its only now we are seeing the first generation of French players who have come through a professional set up from scholarship age and its not too bad. We are seeing the likes of Gigot, Pelissier, Pala, Barthau, and Escare to add to the traditional strength they have in the forwards.
Next 5 years is when we should look to judge the French system, I think they do have a few too many overseas players at the moment and want to see them cut down. If they are regularly playing 3,4,5 overseas players in the next few years then they will be on track.
And whilst they have the whole of france to go at, it’s a double edged sword in they are the only team producing French players, they can’t pick up a few French players from other clubs like English clubs do with each other.

you also have the problem that Rugby Union in France has a lot higher profile and even more money to spend than English union clubs on player salaries
