A rumour that has emerged from the leigh camp is that Mark Smith will be doing a swap deal with Jamie Durbin. This is why leigh have not offered Jamie a new contract for next season

Would be a great piece of business if true - which I highly doubt it is - considering Smith has another year on his contract IIRC.

if we can get Smith for me it will arguably as big as signing as Robbie. He's too good for this league and would be a great addition. Id be amazed if we pulled it off though as he's been at Widnes for quite a while now and isnt he their captain?

He still has a year left on his contract and is captain, saying that this year hasnt been his best and Cullen has give him a couple of roastings over certain performances.

Swap deal? Durbin is out of contract at the end of the season and can sign for whoever he wants without Leigh having to do a deal with any other club. Cullen has been chasing him since we beat them at their place earlier in the season.

Wuld be an awesome signing but just cant see it. Littler and Smith in the same team who could we boo of the opponants team now

He's been in and out of the team really, but when he's played he's played at hooker bar the odd 10/20 minute spell at halfback. I don't rate him if I'm honest, he isn't the same player we saw at the start of the season who was causing havoc in defences, I've barely seen him run at one for months. A great attacking player if you can get him to play like he can but obviously a big weak link in defence that Robbie will certainly exploit next year

Seriously what's Leigh's obsession with Littler? alright he's a local lad but a good player? nah the same goes for Robbie Paul. If you were signing the likes of Liam Harrison or Ben Black or Andy Ellis then yes they are good signings but 2 Salford rejects?

People who are in their late 20's at best who have never made it in SL cant be compared to players who have missed around 5 games in the last 5 years of SL. Wait until 2010!
