We can't offer Ben a contract yet. The clause in the deal from Cas says they have first refusal at the end of the season.

I watched the game on BBC and thought he had an awful session. Then I watched it again last night... There was a lot more to his game than the couple of errors, BUT... he has a long way to go before he's where we expected him to be.

Doesn't first refusal mean that if we [idon't[/i sign him Castleford have the first option on signing him. If we do want to sign him we can. Or have I totally misunderstood the "First refusal" principle?

I think in this instance Cas have first option to offer a contract for 2016. Clearly, Ben can choose turn that down should he receive an offer.
