Looks to be a very shrewd signing Bornauw, his ariel stats are off the charts.. top 1% in all top 5 leagues, all round defensive areas are impressive too and can pass the ball, looks a good athlete. Great price, ideal age and nicely experienced. The bottom 3 all fell foul of not sorting their defence out last year and paid a very heavy price. 


Just need a left back or two now (though i think Pascal might be cover there or if Byram signs again), also need cover at RB then that's the defence sorted for not much money, leaves the bulk to be spent further up the pitch.  


I do wonder if we might go back in with a bigger bid for Muniz...Leeds might be looking at spending big in that position. 

If they've deep pockets Tad, £8m isn't really a huge amount to overpay.. whether they have bought well remains to be seen though, and they will miss a fair few games for AFCON

Sometimes an extra 3 or 4 million to get the player you think can make a difference has to be done.
No point thinking what if we had spent that and live to regret it.

Yes totally agree mate. It's like Anton Stach that the club told the YEP they really like, why is it not done yet, fee is for him is meant to be around £17m ish... he's clearly very good and would be a big upgrade on Gruev, he'd also give Ampadu serious competition.. just get it done at that price... reports are saying from Sky Germany the deal can be done but Leeds have only enquired, not even bid yet... crackers... can understand the growing fan frustration at the moment..

I think Tad if the fee is 17m and we offer 23m then yes it does seem bad business.
But if the fee is 17m and we offer 12 and it`s turned down.
Go back and more or less pay the asking price if the club think he will make a difference.
Seems Sunderland are waiting to see who we fancy and then outbid us.
